  • I made a feedback on this matter via the trello card and email
  • Please feedback to me sir on what do prefer on the monthly; Option 1 or Option 2?

  • I got more insights on what to improve with the onboarding document. Starting tomorrow sir, I plan on editing onboarding document and split it to 3 parts as I have suggested.

  • About this sir, I have a tip to make it less complicated.
  • Pls do not depend on the the number of days in each month. Think of just 2 ways of payment.
  1. Weekly = if weekly term, it resets every week cycle. So after a week of work. 1/4 of the full month payment is owed.
  2. Monthly = if monthly term, it resets every month cycle. So after a month, a full month payment is old.
  • Regarding Option 2, since you like to pay every 1st of the month you agreed to extend my “Weekly” term until the end of March. We both agreed to it. So, we go on like a transition period.
  • March 20 – 23 = 1 full week work so 1/4 payment is owed since we are still on “weekly” term extension. Regardless if it is trial period or not.
  • March 27 – 30 = same, 1 full week work so 1/4 payment is owed since we are still on “weekly” term extension. Regardless if it is trial period or not.
  • Then April 1 – April 30 start of the “Monthly” term. I need to finish whole April to get the month’s full salary.
  • It will be less complicated if we focus not on “trial period” but instead “Weekly? or Monthly” term.
  • Please tell me if you agree.

About the case study you mentioned sir that a certain employee starts at March 20.

  • Week 1 = March 20 – 23 = 1/4 pay
  • Week 2 = March 27 – 30 = 1/4 pay
  • Week 3 = April 3 – 6 = 1/4 pay
  • Week 4 = April 10 – 13 = 1/4 pay (ends trial period)

I think you need to extend the weekly term at:

  • Week 5 = April 17 – April 20 = 1/4 pay
  • Week 6 = April 24 – April 27 = 1/4 pay
  • Then May 1 – May 31 start of “Monthly” term.

That case, all of the working hours of the employee is paid. Because if we focus on trial period or not, some days work will not be included and it will raise questions.

Please ask if you have additional questions of you agree with me. Very sorry if I drag this on also, my case is already clear to both of us but I just want to help on future hires.

2. Jamaila and I had a conversation thru Skype.

We had brief introduction of ourselves and a little chitchat. She had mentioned about her being confused in everything about the onboarding.

I told her the same experience I have encountered during my first two days. I also enlightened her to just take it slow since I am doing samples at first that would somehow help you to
give me feedback about. She just told me that she’s going to talk to you since she had heard from me already.

3. Trello task – Onboarding Document Series

I have edited the onboarding documents sir and broken them down into 3 parts.

Please comment if you agree with it. Thanks.
