Work Update – Fixing Website Issues After the WordPress Transfer

  • I have fixed some of the issues on the new Ideal-Helper site, checked and fixed all broken links due to the change of hosting service.
  • Added the sub-domain (diary.ideal-helper.com). Initially, I was unable to do it properly. I researched a lot how to do it, but was unable to point to the Blogger.
  • At last, I got help from the inmotionhosting support and finally set it up properly. I have documented the whole process, please have a review of Add a subdomain and Map to your existing Blogger Account.docx (SBI to WP folder). Note that it takes up to 48 hours to implement these changes.
  • I have also looked into the spam comments matter. Actually, I already have installed and set up the Akismet plugin for that and it also has blocked 16 comments so far. I have now changed the settings so now you will not get a message to moderate each comment, you can do this later from the WordPress dashboard.

Ideal Helper Email Issue

  • This issue is still not resolved. I have tried to integrate the contact form with virtual assistant email, but it’s not working. To test if the email is still working, I sent a test email from my personal email ID which was not delivered. The last email delivered on this account has a date of 22nd April. That means no emails were delivered to this email after that.
  • I think you need to set this up again since we’ve changed the hosting service.

Setting Up Sub-domain and Infin It Update

  • As you’re already aware that I have prepared an email draft for the sub-domain issue and sent to the SBI support team.
  • After their reply, I contacted the Inmotionhosting support. I contacted them three times today. The First time, I had an internet disconnection and therefore couldn’t conclude the chat. The second time, the operation put me on hold and didn’t respond even after one hour. However, on the 3rd time I have successfully configured the sub-domain with the help of a support agent. I have saved my chat with her and will document the whole process of adding a sub-domain to Infin It section.

Other Administrative Support

  • Watched more videos from the Business System folder
  • Uploaded to the Ideal-Helper YouTube channel and created individual posts for each of the video. Please have a review of the Business System post for more details.
